Our Beginning:

  • Hand Of Hope - SCA was founded May 15, 2013

  • Our name changed to Hands of Hope - Sickle Cell Awareness on August 14, 2014

  • Current name approved by the Florida Department of State Division of Corporations March 16, 2015

  • July 31, 2015 - Approved by Internal Revenue Services granted 501 (c) (3) non profit status

  • August 28, 2015 - Hillsborough County School District approves organization for students to earn community hour

    Services Provided:

  • Free notary services.

  • Community information and referral (doctor's specialist, community programs and services).

  • Social and emotional support through support groups meetings.

  • Health education to new families living with sickle cell.

  • Community educational training, tutoring and mentoring.

  • $25.00 donation made to individuals after a 3 day stay period in a medical facility for sickle cell related issues (within a 3 month period).

  • Hospital visitations if requested.

  • Tutoring Services Day Hours ( 1st and 3rd Saturday’s of the month 1-3pm)

  • Tutoring Evening Hours ( 2nd and 4th Monday’s of the month 6-8pm)
